Expansion of our range of services: New testing technology for electrical properties and high-precision hardness measurement of standardized methods on finished parts with complex geometries

We are pleased to be able to offer you another method for testing electrical properties with immediate effect. With the technology from Eaton-Sefelec, we are expanding our capacities to include precise dielectric strength measurements. The high-voltage tester enables us to carry out tests in accordance with the ASTM D149, IEC 60060, DIN EN 60243-1 and DIN EN 60243-2 standards, among others, and thus offer you an even more comprehensive service in the field of electrical testing.

Our LNP universal tester from Ludwig Nano Präzision GmbH now enables us to perform high-precision hardness measurements on finished parts with complex geometries and very small test objects, in addition to many other test options.

Testing dielectric strength at technical frequencies (AC) and under direct voltage (DC)

In accordance with ASTM D149, DIN EN 60243-1 or IEC 60060, ... we can now measure the dielectric strength of solid insulating materials at technical frequencies (AC). Electrical breakdown refers to a significant loss of insulating properties under electrical stress. In addition, our new device enables us to carry out tests to determine the dielectric strength under direct current (DC), in accordance with the DIN EN 60243-2 standard.

The values determined are suitable for differentiating between comparable materials, for quality control and for describing ageing processes.

The choice between the two test methods, DC or AC voltage, depends on the purpose of the test and the intended use of the material.

Hardness measurement with the LNP universal tester

In addition to its high precision, the measuring system from Ludwig Präzisions GmbH also enables us to offer hardness measurements on finished parts with complex geometries and very small dimensions that are comparable to standard test methods. By equipping the system with an additional 100 N force sensor, it is possible to precisely measure Shore D hardness in addition to the standardized determination of micro IRHD, IRHD N, VLRH and Shore A hardness. By means of filigree, miniaturized, true-to-scale indenters, variably adjustable forces and measuring times in conjunction with scientifically based, highly developed software solutions and camera optics, hardness measurements on finished parts and test specimen geometries that were previously almost impossible to measure reproducibly, as well as a variety of other measurement options such as modulus determination according to LNP, roughness measurements and the display of hardness topographies over the test specimen cross-section are opened up.

Take advantage of our extended service - By integrating the determination of dielectric strength into our service portfolio and adding the LNP universal hardness tester, we are underlining our commitment to innovation, progress and quality. Benefit from our expert performance of these tests to optimize the properties of your products and ensure their compliance with current standards.
